About The Position

Paces is seeking exceptional talents to join their growing Software Engineering team. The role involves working closely with power and permitting industry experts to automate power development. The engineer will gain domain knowledge, build AI agents to automate human-driven work, develop automation for new modeling capabilities, have full ownership of projects, iterate closely with industry experts on end-to-end features, scale up the platform and system, and collaborate with the product team on the product roadmap.

Requirements

3+ years of experience building data intensive software in production environment
Proficient in TypesScript, Python, SQL, and comfortable working across the stack - frontend, backend, and database
Strong problem solving skills and the ability to work independently and in a team
Comfortable with ambiguity, unblocking yourself, and making progress without waiting on perfect specs

Nice To Haves

Previous experience at a high-growth, fast-paced startup
Previous experience working with geospatial data and platforms
Previous experience working with energy grid modeling or utility companies
Previous experience deploying AI agents in prod environment, familiar with Agent SDK, Messages API, LangGraph
