Requirements

2+ years of experience building modern web applications and user-facing products
Strong experience with React, TypeScript, and modern frontend development patterns
A track record of shipping products with exceptional attention to detail, performance, and usability
Experience owning large frontend systems rather than isolated features
Strong product intuition and the ability to make thoughtful tradeoffs independently
Experience working closely with designers and sweating the details of implementation
Strong written and verbal communication skills and comfort working directly with customers when needed

Nice To Haves

Familiarity with real-time systems, data visualisation, mapping, or operational software is a plus
Experience with React Native or mobile application development is a plus

Responsibilities

Build and own major parts of Firefly's web and mobile experiences from architecture through implementation
Create interfaces that make complex operational workflows feel simple and intuitive
Work closely with design to turn ambitious concepts into polished, production-quality products
Collaborate with backend, infrastructure, ML, and hardware teams to bring new capabilities to customers
Build real-time experiences spanning maps, video, alerts, incidents, communications, and automation workflows
Shape frontend architecture, component systems, performance standards, and engineering practices
Help establish the quality bar and development culture that future engineers will inherit
Talk directly with customers and bring field feedback into product decisions
