Our platform provides answers directly to business users, explaining the 'why' behind insights to facilitate quick and confident decision-making. We are trusted by companies like Cisco, Patreon, and Rubrik. This role is for a mid to senior level Software Engineer, with potential for staff engineers, focusing on generative UI. The core of the work involves AI-generated charts, dashboards, and insights that run across web, mobile, Slack, and embedded applications. The engineer will own user-facing surfaces end-to-end, with a strong emphasis on user experience and the 'feel' of the product. The engineering team operates with a 'Builders' mindset, emphasizing ownership, close customer proximity, strong judgment aided by AI tools, and fluidity across product teams (Dashboard & Visualization, Chat & Context, Agents & Integrations).

Requirements

Proficiency in shipping with React, TypeScript, and Node.
Obsession over polish and details in user-facing products.
Strong product instinct to identify and prioritize valuable features.
High agency; ability to find work and drive it independently.
Desire to work closely with customers to shape product development.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
Experience with AI coding assistants (e.g., Cursor, Claude Code, Codex).

Responsibilities

Own a user-facing surface end to end and focus on its user experience.
Build AI-generated code for visualizations, including charts and dense P&L tables, ensuring accuracy and performance.
Develop data transformations to convert raw data into financial statements.
Create chart specifications that appear professionally designed without performance degradation.
Design the edit experience for AI-generated visuals, allowing seamless interaction through follow-up questions and direct manipulation.
Build live-preview controls that function based on parameterized visuals and knob UIs.
Develop the streaming of a chat agent's thinking process as a traceable output.
Transform complex tool calls into readable sentences for business users.
Build the React SDK for other data teams to integrate dashboards and chat functionalities.
Define and maintain APIs, documentation, and examples for the SDK.
Collaborate closely with customers, sales, and support teams.
Work across the full stack, leveraging AI coding assistants like Cursor, Claude Code, and Codex.
Potentially move between product teams (Dashboard & Visualization, Chat & Context, Agents & Integrations) as the product evolves.
