About The Position
Otter.ai is seeking a Frontend Software Engineer to lead feature development and serve as a technical expert, collaborating with stakeholders across the organization. The role focuses on platform performance, infrastructure improvements, and user experience. The engineer will develop and enhance the web application, help evolve it into a responsive single-page application, and contribute to coding standards and code reviews. Requirements
- Internship or industry experience developing single-page web applications using a JavaScript framework.
- Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, TypeScript, and JavaScript, including writing clean, reusable, optimized code.
- Familiarity with Linux.
- Familiarity with REST API principles.
- Experience writing unit, integration, and UI tests.
- Ability to debug code and create reusable, testable, and efficient implementations.
- Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science or a related field.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with an AWS environment.
- Experience with WebSockets.
Responsibilities
- Develop and enhance the web application to support business goals.
- Architect and refine the application into a responsive single-page application, focusing on performance and user experience.
- Write clean, maintainable, reusable code that follows industry best practices and internal standards.
- Identify, diagnose, and resolve bugs to improve application quality and stability.
- Test the application for security and efficient performance across platforms and devices.
- Validate functionality and user experience across browsers, platforms, and devices.
- Explore and evaluate technologies, tools, and methodologies to improve development processes and products.
- Help establish coding standards and lead code reviews to maintain code quality and encourage knowledge sharing.
