About The Position

Leidos’ Defense Systems / Manufacturing Sector is seeking a talented and qualified Mid-Level Software Engineer to join our Defense team in Huntsville, AL supporting the Common Hypersonic Glide Body (CHGB) Program. This position will support the development, refinement and repository management of component test software. The ideal candidate would have experience in environmental and dynamic testing and have a current DoD Secret clearance. Requirements

  • A BS in Electrical, Computer or Software Engineering.
  • At least 2+ years of relevant experience in testing.
  • Experience in a Manufacturing and/or MIL-STD-810 Test Environment.
  • Background in software or analysis toolkit development.
  • Ability to read and interpret Electrical drawings, schematics, and specifications.
  • Experience working with a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Experience working with electrical systems and RF test equipment.
  • Candidate must be a US Citizen and possess (and be able to maintain) a Final Secret Clearance or meet the eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a Secret Clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Active security clearance.
  • Experience in MATLAB code and app development and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with National Instrument Software development and troubleshooting.
  • Experience supporting DoD programs related to missile systems, reentry vehicles, or hypersonic technologies.
  • Prior work in assembly, integration, or testing of missile systems.
  • Experience supporting rapid development, prototyping, or fast-paced engineering programs.
  • Experience in using GitHub and managing data in Windchill.
  • Candidate must be a resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate to the Huntsville - North Alabama, AL area.
  • Experience in environmental and dynamic testing.

Responsibilities

  • Develop Post Data Analysis toolkits.
  • Review, understand and refine MATLAB and LabVIEW code.
  • Use internal systems to publish, revise and track software updates.
  • Develop and maintain test procedures on software use to support testing and vehicle delivery.
  • Analyze test results to verify that Post Data Analysis toolkits verify test results against the Test Requirement Document.
  • Collaborate with multiple teams to meet our technical and schedule requirements.
