About The Position
As a Software Engineer - Entry Level at Boeing Intelligence & Analytics (BI&A), you will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and enhancing complex and diverse software systems. This includes areas such as processing-intensive analytics, novel algorithm development, manipulation of extremely large data sets, real-time systems, and business management information systems, all based upon documented requirements. You will contribute to cutting-edge development programs, design new solutions, innovate RF signal processing applications, develop analytics, visualization and discovery tools, and integrate new and legacy software across a variety of hardware form factors. Additionally, you will review and test software components for adherence to design requirements, document test results, and resolve software problem reports. You will also provide specific input to the software components of system design, including hardware/software trade-offs, software reuse, the use of Commercial Off-the-shelf (COTS)/Government Off-the-shelf (GOTS) in place of new development, and requirements analysis and synthesis from system level to individual software components.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required
- Four (4) years of SWE experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a Bachelor’s degree
- Proficiency with RF signal processing applications
- Proficiency working in Linux development environments
- Proficiency coding in Python, C++, Java, or JavaScript
Nice To Haves
- Active TS/SCI with Polygraph Clearance
- Experience with Software-Defined Radio (SDR) programming
- Experience with geospatial processing
- Experience coding 2D and 3D image displays
- Experience with GitLab, GitHub, or similar version control tools
- Experience with Jira/Confluence or similar project management tools
Responsibilities
