Requirements

3+ years of professional software development experience, with a focus on backend development.
Strong proficiency and professional experience with Elixir and the Phoenix framework.
Experience with OTP, concurrent and distributed systems, and functional programming principles.
Proven experience designing and building RESTful APIs (and/or GraphQL) and working with relational databases such as PostgreSQL (Ecto).
A strong product sense and a passion for building exceptional, reliable, and scalable systems.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative, agile team environment.

Responsibilities

Design, build, and maintain high-performance, reusable, and reliable backend systems and APIs using Elixir and the Phoenix framework.
Work closely with our product managers, designers, and other engineers to translate product requirements into well-architected, scalable services.
Take ownership of features from conception to launch, including crafting technical specs, writing clean code, and ensuring a smooth release process.
Write unit and integration tests to ensure code quality, robustness, and reliability.
Participate in code reviews to maintain a high-quality code culture.
Identify and correct bottlenecks, fix bugs, and continuously improve application performance, scalability, and fault tolerance.
Keep up-to-date with the latest industry trends, best practices, and technologies in the Elixir ecosystem to help us innovate and improve.
