About The Position
Leads development and maintenance of requirements, architecture, algorithms, interfaces, and designs for high-performance APIs between front-end and back-end software services. Leads support of software development activities in an Agile environment using DevSecOps methodologies, including integration of completed software components into a fully functional software system. Leads development of critical features and takes ownership of the full development lifecycle from design through deployment. Builds, architects, and consumes APIs and backend services as part of the platform ecosystem, with emphasis on automation, testing, and security. Leads code reviews to maintain code quality, enforce best practices, and ensure compliance with established standards. Leads creation and translation of design mockups into functional, visually appealing user interfaces using modern front-end frameworks and technologies. Develops software for space systems and ground segments, including command, control, mission planning, and data processing. Develops software using Python, JavaScript, and TypeScript. Implements CI/CD pipelines to automate testing, builds, and deployment workflows. Works with database technologies including Postgres, SQL, and NoSQL.
Requirements
- Active Top Secret Security Clearance required to start.
- Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).
- Bachelor's degree or higher is required.
- 5+ years of experience with software development for space systems and ground segments performing command, control, mission planning, and data processing.
- 5+ years of development experience using Python.
- 3+ years of experience with JavaScript (e.g., Angular, JQuery).
- 3+ years of experience working with TypeScript.
- 5+ years of progressive leadership experience in software development utilizing modern methodologies on government programs.
- 5+ years of experience with designing and developing intuitive user interfaces featuring real-time, 2D/3D geospatial visualization.
- 3+ years of experience with Java and FastAPI (Python API) languages.
- Strong experience using CI/CD pipelines to automate testing, builds, and deployment workflows.
