We’re looking for a Data Platform Engineer to own and evolve the data layer that powers core product features. Today, much of that stack is built with AWS-native tooling such as S3, Parquet, Athena, and Glue, but this role is not limited to maintaining the current approach. We want someone who can work effectively within our existing architecture while also helping us identify, architect, and implement better processing and query patterns as our needs grow. This is a hands-on engineering role at the intersection of backend systems and data infrastructure. You’ll build Python-based data services, shape how we model and process high-volume cloud data, and help decide when to use managed AWS services versus introducing technologies like DuckDB, ClickHouse, or other fit-for-purpose tools. As our engineering team expands, we want someone to assume ownership of our existing data infrastructure and spearhead its evolution as we scale to integrate data from numerous new providers. This role is crucial for establishing an enterprise-grade data pipeline.
