About The Position

The Data Product Platform team is responsible for designing, implementing, scaling and operating systems, tools and frameworks to build event-based or data powered product experiences. You’ll join a team of talented engineers in our mission to build the best in class foundational platforms that are key to the company’s business and product. Notion’s platforms and infrastructure are vital to enabling our product features like search, automations, user notifications, workspace analytics and Notion AI.

Requirements

Nice To Haves

Past experience working full-stack in Typescript and node.js ecosystem.
Worked on data or infrastructure-focused engineering teams, particularly ones that own a wide swath of software platforms (hosted or built in-house).
Experienced the challenges of scaling and re-architecting event-based platforms and infrastructure through orders of magnitude of growth and scaling data volume.

Responsibilities

Own and play a pivotal role in the development of systems, tools and infrastructure that enable data and data systems powered product use-cases.
Work cross-functionally with engineers and partners from the Product, Data Science, Data Engineering and AI teams to deliver short- and long-term impact.
Work on all levels of the stack including infrastructure, libraries and product code as needed to successfully build and deliver internal platforms that provide high leverage to multiple product teams.
Be responsible for monitoring and operating systems in production.
Understand systems deeply, optimize performance and evolve critical production systems with minimal user disruption.
