About The Position
Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories, Inc. (SEL) seeks professional, innovative and detailed individuals for our Software Engineer – Data Engineer position. This role offers an opportunity to work with industry experts while participating in developing cutting-edge products. The Software Engineer – Data Engineer develops the specifications, designs, implements, and documents a wide range of data solutions developed by the company. These positions will be based out of the company’s headquarters in Moscow, Idaho. These positions require regular on-site work at the Moscow office and do not permit remote work or work-from-home arrangements.

- Apply the principles of data science and software and computer engineering.
Responsibilities
- Design normalized, relational data models and/or dimensional models for Online Transaction Processing (OLTP) and Online Analytical Processing (OLAP) systems.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to build enterprise reporting models.
- Design, implement, and maintain data pipelines that move data from various sources while ensuring that the data is accurate, consistent, and secure.
- Administer and optimize data solutions for performance and scalability.
- Build solutions with technologies like SQL Server, Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL, Azure Stream Analytics, SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS), and Power BI Premium.
