About The Position

Google's software engineers develop the next-generation technologies that change how billions of users connect, explore, and interact with information and one another. As a software engineer, you will work on a specific project critical to Google’s needs with opportunities to switch teams and projects as you and our fast-paced business grow and evolve. Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
2 years of experience coding in C++ and Python.
2 years of experience with algorithms.
2 years of experience with distributed processing.
2 years of experience with Flume.

Nice To Haves

Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field.
2 years of experience with data analytics.
2 years of experience with machine learning algorithms.

Responsibilities

Improve the crawl scheduling infrastructure.
Develop signals towards understanding the web and customer's data interest to enable intelligent crawl decisions and web data targeting.
Improve the quality of acquired data by improving data relevance and fighting low-quality content (e.g. spam).
