About The Position

Hightouch is seeking a product-minded backend engineer for their Control Plane team. This team focuses on building user-friendly yet powerful tools and products for enterprises to efficiently onboard, manage, and scale their Hightouch deployments. The role involves diving deep into backend, distributed systems, and asynchronous workflows, with a focus on architecture, scalability, maintainability, and reliability. The engineer will also contribute to product specifications and engage with product thinking. Key problem areas include roles, permissions, and access control; change management for data model updates; and optimizing data warehouse performance and costs related to Hightouch activity.

Responsibilities

Build user-friendly but powerful tools and products for enterprises to efficiently onboard onto Hightouch.
Manage and scale Hightouch deployments.
Dive deep into backend, distributed systems, and asynchronous workflows.
Think holistically about architecture, scalability, maintainability, and reliability.
Develop and extend access control capabilities to support product line expansion.
Build tools for admins to manage changes when a customer’s underlying data model or data warehouse changes.
Help admins understand and optimize data warehouse performance and costs as a result of Hightouch activity.
