This role involves employing innovative thought and automation to improve workflow, efficiency, and productivity. The Software Engineer CloudOps will perform a variety of complicated tasks and provide support for escalated trouble tickets, in support of internal customers and partners. They will design, build, and support Internal Applications, DevOps pipelines, and create new ones, assisting the entire USGov Team. The role requires working with waterfall and in a scrum or sprint lifecycle using a work item/ticketing queue to manage work. The engineer must be able to take a project or task from inception to completion, understanding when to escalate. Responsibilities include supporting Production Environments as part of a 24x7x365 on-call rotation to ensure availability, resiliency, and performance meets SLAs. This includes troubleshooting and debugging C#/ASP.NET applications and/or PaaS service failures. The role also involves continuously maintaining and/or improving the security of client environments and customer data, and collaborating with customer service, professional service, project/program/product managers, and engineers to ensure critical and time-sensitive projects run smoothly to achieve business outcomes. The ideal candidate is a passionate, continuous learner who keeps up with relevant, latest trends, technologies, and tools in the industry. They will deploy, configure, secure, and monitor various Azure services using Ansible, Terraform, Azure DevOps pipelines, or Azure ARM Templates. Other job-related duties may be assigned, such as assisting with evidence collection during audits.
