About The Position

CACI is seeking a Cloud Services Backend Software Engineer to support our Athena space common operating picture (COP). You will be part of an agile team enabling rapid delivery of capabilities through a secure CI/CD pipeline into production and responsible for defining architecture, suggesting ways to improve the overall performance of the application, deploying Docker containers to AWS using Kubernetes, etc.

Requirements

  • Active TS/SCI with the ability to obtain a polygraph
  • 3+ years of relevant experience
  • Demonstrated (non-academic) experience in a similar role (day-to-day management as a contractor supporting a government enterprise IT environment)
  • Demonstrated experience defining measurable metrics to monitor progress
  • Experience working as a member of a software development team participating in the complete development lifecycle
  • Experience with programming and shell scripting with preference for Java and Python
  • Experience with Cloud Management in Amazon Web Services, Azure or equivalent
  • Experience with Container orchestration frameworks such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • DevSecOps pipeline tools (gitlab, SonarQube, Trivy, Ansible, others)
  • Experience working as a member of a development team participating in the complete product development lifecycle.
  • Familiarity with Agile software development methodologies.
  • Familiarity with continuous integration and software CM processes / tools (GIT, JIRA, Confluence).
  • Experience applying industry best practices to ensure system performance, reliability, scalability and security.
  • Strong troubleshooting/problem solving skills.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Time management and organizational skills, including the ability to work in a dynamic, real-time environment with rapidly changing priorities.
  • Must be able to multi-task and work independently with minimum supervision to meet deadlines.
  • Familiar with microservice architectures.
  • Familiarity with build tools (e.g. gradle, maven).

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field, from an accredited institution
  • Active TS/SCI w/ poly
  • Familiarity with Elastic Stack.
  • Experience with networking, Redis, RabbitMQ, Grafana.
  • Security+ certification
