Cloud Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) Security Engineering enables Cloud to grow securely. It is the team within the Cloud CISO organization responsible for helping ensure every Cloud product is as secure as it can be. As a Software Engineer, you will help to ensure that our software and systems are designed and implemented to the highest security standards. You will design, implement and support software security solutions using a wide variety of software and technology stacks, with the goal of helping Cloud Cyber Security Engineering (CCSE) with its mission of making Google teams and partners improve their security posture. Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree.
2 years of experience building software for data privacy or security (e.g., identity and access management).
Experience with generative AI, generative AI agent, software architecture.

Nice To Haves

Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical fields.
2 years of experience with data structures and algorithms.
Experience developing accessible technologies.
Experience with threat modeling or risk analysis, as well as security.

Responsibilities

Write product or system development code.
Participate in, or lead design reviews with peers and stakeholders to decide amongst available technologies.
Review code developed by other developers and provide feedback to ensure best practices (e.g., style guidelines, checking code in, accuracy, testability, and efficiency).
Contribute to existing documentation or educational content and adapt content based on product/program updates and user feedback.
Triage product or system issues and debug/track/resolve by analyzing the sources of issues and the impact on hardware, network, or service operations and quality.
