About The Position

Prophet Security is seeking recent and upcoming graduates to join their engineering team. This role involves building and evolving the core backend systems that power Prophet's platform. The company focuses on automating complex security tasks and aims to disrupt the security labor market. The platform analyzes security alerts, develops investigation plans, and produces findings and recommendations, with continuous feedback incorporated into automation. The new graduate will work closely with experienced engineers and experts in product, machine learning, and cybersecurity, contributing to services that ingest, process, and reason over large volumes of security data.

Requirements

Recently completed or currently completing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
Experience with one or more relevant programming languages, such as Python or Go, through coursework, research, internships, or personal projects.
Understanding of fundamental software engineering concepts, including data structures, algorithms, testing, and system design.
Demonstrated experience building software through academic, internship, research, open-source, or personal projects.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Clear written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to collaborate effectively and learn in a fast-moving environment.
Passion for building high-quality products and solving customer problems.

Responsibilities

Help build and evolve the core backend systems that power Prophet’s platform.
Contribute to services that ingest, process, and reason over large volumes of security data.
Build extensible frameworks for integrations with third-party security systems (SIEMs, EDR/XDR platforms, identity providers, cloud and SaaS logs).
Develop performant, reliable backends for fast customer onboarding and compelling proof-of-value experiences.
Design storage, indexing, and access patterns for highly dimensional, time-oriented security data.
Develop and evaluate agents and automation for threat investigation.
Write production code.
Participate in technical design.
Collaborate across teams.
Take ownership of projects from development through deployment.
Receive guidance and mentorship while gaining independence to solve technical and customer problems.
