Snap Inc. is hiring an AR Engineer for the Lenses Platform team. The role advances the look, feel, and flow of user-facing software on Spectacles and helps maintain a consistent user experience across the Snap OS platform. It creates human-centered, multimodal spatial experiences and contributes to the technical planning, architecture, and delivery of complex user-facing AR applications. The engineer builds integrations with system-level features, services, and platform APIs, and develops performant real-time 3D applications optimized for resource-constrained AR hardware. The role works cross-functionally with Engineering, Design, Product, Program Management, and other disciplines to shape the roadmap for AR applications and use cases. It also includes mentoring and developing other AR Engineers. Snap Inc. operates Snapchat and other digital services. Its wholly owned subsidiary Specs Inc. develops Specs, advanced eyewear that integrates digital experiences into the physical world, and provides Lens Studio, developer tools for augmented reality experiences. Specs uses see-through lenses and Snap OS, a context-aware operating system designed for interaction through hands and voice. The position follows Snap’s “default together” policy, with team members expected to work in an office at least four days per week. The role is eligible for RSUs. U.S. base salary ranges vary by pay zone: Zone A (CA, WA, NYC), $157,000–$235,000 annually; Zone B, $149,000–$223,000 annually; and Zone C, $133,000–$200,000 annually.
