About The Position

Tangram Flex is seeking a Software Engineer - Analytics to serve as a primary technical resource for developing advanced analytic solutions that enhance digital engineering workflows, model interoperability, and tradecraft standards. This role combines hands-on software development integrating analytical tools with Reference Architectures modeled with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) methodologies to deliver cloud-native, event-driven solutions that align with modern software development practices. The Software Engineer will work collaboratively across internal and external teams to identify, scope, prototype, document, develop, and deliver new features within our software platforms while supporting critical customer engagements and analytical workflows. Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, or equivalent technical field
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in software development or engineering working collaboratively as part of a high-functioning team
  • Current Top Secret clearance or ability to obtain U.S. Government Security (DoW) Clearance (U.S. citizenship required)
  • Proficiency in Python (required)
  • Experience with SysML v1 , Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) design and development practices
  • Familiarity with Cameo Systems Modeler or similar MBSE tools
  • Experience with cloud-native software development
  • Proficiency with Git-based development workflows (GitLab/GitHub)
  • Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and automated testing practices
  • Ability to travel occasionally 10%-15%
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer (up to 8 hours/day)
  • Ability to lift and carry lightweight items (e.g., laptops, demo equipment, marketing materials) up to 25 lbs.
  • Frequent use of hands and fingers for typing, using a mouse, writing, and handling equipment.
  • Visual acuity to read detailed technical documents, view computer screens, and operate software systems
  • Auditory ability to participate in meetings, customer demos, and conference calls, including in potentially noisy environments (e.g., trade shows or military facilities)
  • Mobility to move between office spaces, customer sites, conference venues, and manufacturing or lab environments
  • Flexibility to adapt to varying work environments (e.g., corporate offices, government buildings, industrial or lab spaces)

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and test cloud-native software solutions using Python, Node.js, TypeScript, and other relevant languages
  • Develop and integrate APIs, perform model checking, and create UI/UX components with focus on SysML v2 data harvesting, automation, and API definition
  • Implement MBSE methodologies that align with customer requirements and tradecraft standards
  • Establish and maintain CI/CD pipelines with automated testing practices (unit, component, integration, system, performance, and continuous testing)
  • Integrate software solutions with customer-supplied APIs or web services
  • Conduct regular code reviews and participate in bi-weekly technical interchange meetings with customers
  • Perform duties in a Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF) approximately 2-5 days per week
  • Work as an active SCRUM team member utilizing Agile workflows and project management tools such as Confluence and Jira
  • Provide technical support, product use guidance, and design/development support to internal and external resources
  • Utilize software testing tools to perform robust testing and support system performance analysis
