About The Position

Ampcus Inc. is seeking a highly motivated Software Engineer 3 to join their talented team. This role involves performing highly advanced senior-level computer programming work. The engineer will develop software solutions by studying information needs, conferring with users, and studying systems flow, data usage, and work processes. They will investigate problem areas, prepare and install solutions by determining and designing system specifications, standards, and programming. The position requires writing, testing, debugging, and documenting complex programs, including client/server and web-based applications using C# (.Net), Blazor, and/or SQL. The engineer will design, develop, and implement specialized programs or routines to create, supplement, and enhance front and back-end web-based application software using HTML5, CSS, C# .NET Blazor, SQL, stored procedures, Oracle, and SQL Server. Close collaboration with systems analysts, architects, and various business areas is expected for requirements gathering, validation, and solution modeling. The role includes supporting application software through problem diagnosis and implementing changes, with experience in developing and enhancing licensing systems for government environments being a plus. Proficiency in Visual Studio 2022, .NET Core 9.0, Oracle DB, and DevExpress tools is required. Research and analysis for specialized programs and recommending process improvements are also part of the duties.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or higher.
8+ years of senior-level experience analyzing software application workflows to identify efficiencies and improvements.
8+ years of experience in root cause analysis and resolution.
8+ years of experience leading the design and development of web-based software applications.
8+ years of programming experience in languages including but not limited to .Net, HTML, HTML5, ASP, Java, JSP, .NET/C#, front-end and back-end technologies, SQL, and stored procedures.
8+ years of experience performing complex SDLC tasks across all phases.
8+ years of experience in software application administration and management.
8+ years of experience leading SDLC projects from scope to deployment, including coordination with change control boards and release schedules.
8+ years of experience in web programming using .NET/C#, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, SQL, stored procedures, Oracle, and SQL Server.
6+ years of experience with Agile SDLC methodology.
6+ years of experience in cross-team collaboration for requirements gathering, development, modifications, and maintenance.
5+ years of experience implementing software changes to meet information and network security requirements.
5+ years of experience leading SDLC teams, including code validation and approval.
5+ years of experience in technical writing and documentation of environment changes and release notes.
5+ years of experience presenting software changes for stakeholder approval.
4+ years of experience using Azure DevOps, Jira, or similar tools.
2+ years of experience programming in C# .NET Blazor.

Nice To Haves

Experience in developing and enhancing licensing systems for government environments, including migrating licensing functionality to modern platforms while enabling seamless legacy data portability.
Proficiency in Visual Studio 2022, .NET Core 9.0, Oracle DB, and DevExpress tools.
Experience porting existing codebases from Java to C# .NET Blazor.
Experience with responsive web design practices and implementation.
Experience with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) and implementation.
Previous experience working with similar systems.

Responsibilities

Perform research and analysis required for specialized programs or routines to supplement and enhance front and back-end web-based applications using HTML5, CSS, C# .NET Blazor, SQL, stored procedures, Oracle, and SQL Server.
Recommend improvements to processes for application development projects as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned.
