Requirements

  • Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a closely related field, plus one year of experience in the job offered or a related occupation. Employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a closely related field, plus five years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation.
  • Experience designing and developing large-scale software applications using Object-Oriented Design and Java (1 year);
  • Experience with RDBMS technologies (SQL Server, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL stores (Redis, MongoDB, and Elasticsearch) (1 year);
  • Experience with RESTful API frameworks and design patterns (1 year);
  • Experience with observability tools (Grafana and Prometheus), and experience documenting procedures for knowledge management (1 year);
  • Experience with Spring framework and Multi-threading development (1 year);
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies (1 year);
  • Incident management experience, including technical triage and troubleshooting (1 year).

Responsibilities

  • Develop code within the team and contribute to delivery.
  • Define, design, and implement sophisticated multi‑tier distributed software systems.
  • Own features, components, multiple sub‑systems.
  • Implements extensible and maintainable software systems.
  • Be accountable for the full lifecycle (monitoring and deployment to production) and operate independently with limited or no supervision.
  • Understand business impact and make tradeoff decisions.
  • Identify project risks, quantify risk/benefit, propose alternatives, and mitigation.
  • Provide data‑driven guidance to Product and engineering leads on roadmap items and influence technical directions within the team.
  • Break down ambiguous problems into executable solutions.
  • Write feature specs/release notes.
  • Implement unit tests.
  • Translate new feature requests with design options and estimations; proactively identify design/code issues and drive resolution.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve complex technical issues across platforms.
  • Communicate clearly (status, assumptions, blockers) and present ideas.
  • Mentor junior Engineers.
  • Contribute to demos, hiring, and knowledge sharing.
