The JBlocks team is seeking a Software Engineer to collaborate with our developers in implementing new capabilities that support evolving data labeling requirements. Proficiency in Java development is essential for this role. The ideal candidate will possess a strong software development background, capable of contributing to both development and enhanced testing initiatives. Active participation throughout the software development lifecycle is expected. We are looking for a proactive individual with innovative ideas to help the team address data marking challenges while maintaining compliance with relevant policies. The team is committed to simplifying integration of our services within user environments by remaining flexible and highly adaptable.

Requirements

  • TS/SCI Clearance with polygraph
  • Ability to enforce coding standards and work within an agile development project
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills- able to clearly communicate architecture and design concepts.
  • Strong organization and time management skills, including the ability to multi-task and work independently with minimum supervision to meet deadlines.

Nice To Haves

  • Java Development Experience
  • Understanding of unit and integration testing
  • Familiarity with PKI and REST services
  • Ability to evaluate user issues, create and document tests to reproduce in development environments
  • Familiar with debugging code using an Integrated Development Environment (IDE) as a containerized service
  • Knowledge of EDH1/2, ISM, CAPCO and CUI standards
  • Experience Performing Development in the eVo environment to include familiarity and use of tools in the environment (GreyBox etc.)
  • Linux experience
  • Use of Gitlab, CI/CD, build pipelines
  • Containerize existing software capabilities using Docker

Responsibilities

  • Implement new capabilities that support evolving data labeling requirements.
  • Collaborate with developers.
  • Contribute to development and enhanced testing initiatives.
  • Participate actively throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Address data marking challenges while maintaining compliance with relevant policies.
  • Simplify integration of services within user environments.
  • Perform software life-cycle activities to ensure the highest level of system performance and availability and compliance with business requirements.
  • Review and test software components for adherence to the design requirements and document test results.
  • Administer, maintain, and implement policies and procedures for ensuring the security and integrity of the application.
  • Write technical documentation including wiki sites, blogs, XML/HTML.
