About The Position

Amazon Leo (previously known as Project Kuiper) is an initiative to increase global broadband access through a constellation of over 3,000 Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellites. Its mission is to bring fast, affordable broadband to unserved and underserved communities worldwide. In this role you will be responsible for building and supporting GRC tooling for the Amazon Leo Security Assurance team. You'll design and implement autonomous AI agents orchestrating compliance workflows. You will scale and automate compliance tasks by integrating with various data sources, extracting datasets/APIs and leveraging AI capabilities using AWS infrastructure. You will work closely with other compliance engineering teams across Amazon, including the AWS Security Assurance Engineering team and Amazon Privacy, Regulation Tech, and Assurance, to collaborate and develop software to ensure the right tools and automations are available for understanding, assessing, and externalizing our alignment against security expectations.

Requirements

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 3+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
• 1+ years of Object Oriented Design experience
• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
• Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

Nice To Haves

• 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience

Responsibilities

• Develop code, build CI/CD pipelines, test automation, and dashboards for monitoring health of systems and data pipelines.
• Work with multiple cross functional teams to gather requirements, design, develop, deploy, and operate the infrastructure you build.
• Develop and mentor junior and new team members.
• Engineer and build a cloud service that is reliable and available to provide connectivity for our customers.
• Work on features that enhance the quality of service and security for our customers.
• Collaborate and work on initiatives across multiple teams to build networking functions on AWS cloud infrastructure and set best practices for software development processes.
