About The Position

This position will be responsible for the analysis, design, testing, development, and maintenance of best-in-class software experiences. The candidate is a self-motivated individual who can collaborate with a team and across the organization. The candidate takes responsibility of the software artifacts produced adhering to U.S. Bank standards to ensure minimal impact to the customer experience. The candidate will be adept with the agile software development lifecycle and DevOps principles.

Requirements

  • Advanced expertise in Java, Spring Framework, Spring Boot, REST APIs, Microservices Architecture, and enterprise application development.
  • Experience building and deploying applications on Cloud Platforms with Containerization and Kubernetes.
  • Expertise in Event-Driven Systems using Apache Kafka or similar messaging technologies.
  • Deep understanding of Distributed Systems, Object-Oriented Design, Software Design Patterns, and Domain-Driven Design (DDD).
  • Experience designing and supporting High-Throughput, Low-Latency, and Mission-Critical Transaction Processing Systems.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD Pipelines, Infrastructure Automation, Observability, Monitoring, and modern DevOps Practices.
  • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience
  • Five to six years of relevant experience

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, deploy, and support highly scalable, secure, and resilient applications using Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, and Cloud-Native Architectures.
  • Lead the design and implementation of Digital Asset Servicing use by both internal and external customer and partner of US Bank.
  • Build and optimize Event-Driven Architectures, APIs, integration services, and high-volume transaction processing platforms.
  • Develop enterprise solutions for mission-critical financial systems with a focus on Scalability, Performance, Reliability, and Security.
  • Partner with business, product, architecture, operations, compliance, risk, and security teams to deliver innovative technical solutions.
  • Drive engineering excellence through Domain-Driven Design (DDD), API-First Development, DevOps, Automation, and Secure Coding Practices.
  • Lead architecture reviews, code reviews, technical design sessions, and governance activities to ensure alignment with enterprise standards.
  • Champion Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles, proactive monitoring, observability, and continuous platform improvement.
