We are looking for a Software Engineer 1 to join our growing Application Infra team. This position develops and maintains a search engine, as well as an API to serve quick search in various huge and rapidly growing advertising-focused datasets through the FreeWheel product, as well as continuing to improve users’ satisfaction with relevance, order, and insights of search results.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or engineering required.
• Ability to write good quality code in Java.
• Work closely with your mentor to deliver projects on time and to the highest standards of quality.
• 0-2 Years Relevant Work Experience

Responsibilities

• Develops and maintains a search engine, as well as an API to serve quick search in various huge and rapidly growing advertising-focused datasets through the FreeWheel product.
• Continues to improve users’ satisfaction with relevance, order, and insights of search results.
• Understand operational tasks
• Implement software solutions according to FreeWheel engineering standards
• Implement automated unit and integration tests to confirm correctness and prevent regressions
• Participate in code reviews
• Implement appropriate instrumentation and monitoring
• Provide user-friendly documentation
• Ensure delivered software solutions are always up and available
• Implement bug fixes when necessary
• Upgrade components, libraries, infrastructure, etc. as, necessary
• Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
• Regular, consistent, and punctual attendance.
• Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) as necessary.
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
