About The Position

Develop high-quality software systems for measurement, inspection, gauging, data collection, machine vision, image processing, machine learning and reporting systems in support of a variety of Corning divisions. This is an entry-level role for a Software Engineer I. The position involves designing, developing, and debugging high-quality software systems that support both early-stage and mature, high-volume manufacturing activities. Responsibilities include interfacing with sensors, motion control, cameras, and implementing advanced logic for data processing. The role also requires resolving software problems and managing improvements and enhancements, while executing Software Development practices for efficient project completion.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical or Electronic Engineering or a related field.
0-3 years' experience in development.
Experience working in a technical, multi-discipline engineering team.
Object Oriented software analysis and design.
A mix of C#, Python, C , Java, MATLAB, Web Services, Micro Services.
Familiarity with Javascript, TypeScript, Vue, React, Angular or similar web frameworks.
Experience in Version Control, e.g.: Git/GitLab/SubVersion/Visual SourceSafe.
Understanding of Software Development Life Cycle processes & tools.
Strong problem-solving, test and QA skills.
Resume reflects experience with C#, Python, C , Java, MATLAB, Web Services, Micro Services.
Familiarity with Javascript, TypeScript, Vue, React, Angular or similar web frameworks.
Experience in Version Control, e.g.: Git/GitLab/SubVersion/Visual SourceSafe.
