The team is seeking a Software Engineer to implement, test, and operate using advanced software security techniques in compliance with the technical reference architecture to enhance software systems. Due to federal contract requirements, United States Citizenship and position appropriate security clearance is required. (e.g. Active TS/SCI security clearance with agency appropriate polygraph).
Requirements
- TS/SCI with agency appropriate poly
- Seven (7) years’ experience as a SWE, in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
- Four (4) years of additional SWE experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
- Demonstrated work experience with OpenSource (NoSQL) products such as Hbase/Accumulo, Big Table, etc.
- A minimum of six (6) years demonstrated experience out of the most recent eight (8) years developing production software for Solaris or Linux environments
- Six years (6) of experience developing software using the Java programming language or C or C++
- Demonstrated work experience developing RESTful services
- Demonstrated work experience in Java development
- Experience with Kubernetes
- Previous experience developing analytics applications
Responsibilities
- Perform on-going security testing and participate in code reviews to improve software security and features.
- Debug, design, and code new software or modify existing software.
- Provide and recommend engineering designs for new software solutions to help mitigate security vulnerabilities.
- Contribute on all levels of the architecture and maintain technical documentation.
- Collaborate with team members and exchange knowledge on secure coding practices.
- Ability to develop a familiarity with new tools and best practices.
