About The Position

This Position is Term-Limited. Under general supervision from the Assistant IT Director (EA, Dev & Cyber), assists with coding, documentation and maintenance of SRPMIC custom designed Angular/Java/SQL full stack software applications. This job class is treated as FLSA Non-Exempt.

Requirements

  • Graduation from High School or a GED equivalent required
  • One (1) year demonstrated experience with Java, HTML, CSS & JavaScript within a successful internship capacity required.
  • Demonstrated successful experience performing the following technologies required: Basic coding skills in industry recognized languages such as Java, Python, JavaScript
  • Basic skills working with Microsoft SQL Server or equivalent database technology

Nice To Haves

  • Basic knowledge of IT infrastructures and applications.
  • Basic knowledge of database table design.
  • Basic knowledge of software testing and documentation.
  • Basic knowledge of Angular, Java, JavaScript and CSS.
  • Basic skill with problem solving and group analysis.
  • Basic skill developing software systems.
  • Skill communicating effectively both verbally and in writing within the team environment.
  • Ability to learn new programming languages, frameworks and methodologies with supervision.
  • Ability to develop and maintain positive and effective working relationships at all levels within the Tribal Government and Community.

  • Ability to work independently and make good judgments.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.

Responsibilities

  • Participates in requirements gathering and analysis. Reviews requirements with senior team members to ensure clarity and understanding.
  • Develops code in accordance with design specifications, coding standards, policies and procedures. Incorporates feedback received from senior team members during code reviews in current and future development efforts.
  • Unit tests developed code and documents test results as required by the departmental and/or project development guidelines.
  • Provides timely and accurate updates of individual progress for all coding assignments.
  • Performs other job-related tasks as assigned by the Assistant IT Director (EA, Dev & Cyber) or IT Director/CIO.
