About The Position

This role focuses on foundational IT skills, troubleshooting, and customer service, with an emphasis on developing technical aptitude and learning new technologies quickly. The specialist will manage multiple issues, prioritize effectively, and deliver high-quality results independently. A basic familiarity with generative AI tools is expected, and comfort with light scripting (e.g., PowerShell) is a plus. The position requires a customer-first attitude and the ability to communicate technical information clearly to various audiences.

Responsibilities

  • Provide foundational IT support including Windows support, basic networking, and hands-on troubleshooting.
  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues methodically, digging into root causes.
  • Communicate technical information clearly and professionally to both technical and non-technical audiences, in writing and verbally.
  • Manage multiple concurrent requests, prioritize effectively, and follow up reliably.
  • Work independently to deliver consistent, high-quality results.
  • Perform light scripting in support of the RMM platform (e.g., PowerShell or similar) or demonstrate a clear aptitude to learn quickly.
  • Utilize generative AI tools for tasks such as drafting email responses or summarizing information.
  • Handle customer requests professionally and patiently, demonstrating a customer-first attitude.
  • Quickly learn and adapt to new tools and technologies.
  • Acknowledge customer and stakeholder requests promptly and set clear expectations on timing.
  • Provide regular status updates to customers and stakeholders.
  • Take an issue from first report through to confirmed resolution.
  • Close the loop with the customer to verify the problem is solved.
  • Track open items and follow up proactively.
  • Follow team processes with documentation and ticket management.
  • Keep tickets, tasks, and documentation organized and up to date.
  • Re-prioritize calmly when new or higher-priority issues arrive.
  • Communicate upwards when help is needed in meeting priorities.
  • Deliver dependable, thorough work.
  • Document work clearly so others can understand, reproduce, and build on it.
  • Test and double-check solutions before considering them complete.
  • Escalate issues when necessary, providing clear and useful detail.
