About The Position

Manage a team that designs, develops, troubleshoots and debugs software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc. As a manager of the software engineering division, you will apply your knowledge of software architecture to manage software development tasks associated with developing, debugging or designing software applications, operating systems and databases according to provided design specifications. Build enhancements within an existing software architecture and suggest improvements to the architecture. May work at various unanticipated locations throughout U.S. Occasional travel, up to 1-2x per year. May telecommute.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field followed by 6 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in job offered or in a Software Development Manager-related occupation.

Responsibilities

  • Designing software architecture and developing solutions using modern programming languages including Java
  • Driving the software development lifecycle to successfully achieve product roadmap objectives
  • Managing network and security solution teams
  • Security and network including particularly with focus Building automated network and security solutions and Network, Security, and Identity Service architecture and Design Patterns
  • Build automated network and security solutions
  • Experience building cloud products, particularly in networking and security domains
  • Experience with distributed systems including CAP theorem, consensus, messaging, and high availability
  • Data structures, algorithms, and operating systems
  • Experience working with Windows and Linux environments

  • Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Accrued Vacation is provided to all other employees eligible for vacation benefits. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
