About The Position

Manage a team that designs, develops, troubleshoots and debugs software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc. As a Senior Director of the software engineering division, apply extensive knowledge of software architecture to manage software development tasks associated with developing, debugging or designing software applications, operating systems and databases according to current and future design specifications. Build enhancements within an existing software architecture and envision improvements to the architecture. May telecommute. Requirements

Managing people, including direct performance management and mentorship
Managing engineering managers in a complex organizational environment
Leading global teams, overseeing organizations of 30–50 staff across the US and international locations
Building, launching, and operating mission-critical cloud infrastructure services with greater than three-nines (99.9%+) availability
Cloud development on one or more major cloud platforms (OCI, AWS, Azure, or GCP)
Core cloud infrastructure, including compute, virtual networking, and storage
Architectural and design skills in distributed systems
Building and operating enterprise-level cloud storage infrastructure services with more than three-nines (99.9%+) availability and petabytes of stored data built with languages like C++, Java, or LUA and open source software like memcached, iSCSI, or QEMU
Building and operating cloud networking and security systems built with technologies like GoLang, Open SSH, NGINX, Envoy, or Java
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field
8 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in job offered or in a software development-related occupation
