About The Position

Responsible for application systems analysis and programming activities for a group. Conducts feasibility studies, time and cost estimates and the establishment and implementation of new or revised applications and programs. Assists in projecting software and hardware requirements. Assigns personnel to various projects and directs their activities; reviews and evaluates their work and prepares performance reports. Confers with and advises subordinates on administrative policies and procedures, technical problems, priorities and methods. Consults with personnel in other Technology areas to coordinate activities. Prepares activity and progress reports regarding the activities of the development group.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience
  • 10 or more years of related experience in information systems technology

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting applications within a regulated or highly controlled enterprise environment.
  • Working knowledge of .NET, C#, Microsoft SQL Server, and AWS , with the ability to provide technical direction and support architecture, modernization, development, and troubleshooting decisions.
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms, Kubernetes, containerization, infrastructure integration, and automated deployment practices.
  • Experience managing a portfolio that includes both modern applications and legacy technologies.
  • Familiarity with secure software development, identity and access management, vulnerability remediation, change management, and technology risk controls.
  • Experience working with third-party vendors, shared technology services, and cross-functional delivery teams.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a team of software engineers by providing coaching, mentoring, performance management, career development, and ongoing technical guidance.
  • Drive the successful delivery of application development initiatives, ensuring solutions are completed within agreed scope, schedule, quality, security, and operational expectations.
  • Partner with business stakeholders, product owners, and technology teams to prioritize work, translate business needs into technical solutions, manage dependencies, and communicate project status, risks, and outcomes.
  • Establish and promote software engineering best practices across application design, source control, code review, automated testing, CI/CD, cloud platforms, containerization, deployment, and production support.
  • Provide oversight for application architecture and technical design decisions, ensuring solutions are scalable, reliable, secure, supportable, and aligned with enterprise architecture and technology standards.
  • Manage work intake, resource planning, team capacity, operational priorities, vendor relationships, and application support responsibilities across a portfolio of technology solutions.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, continuous improvement, innovation, and operational excellence while ensuring compliance with applicable risk, security, regulatory, change-management, and governance requirements.
