About The Position

We are hiring a hands-on Software Development Manager for the team that owns the tooling and processes to help identify and track potential security risks. We continually work with the latest technologies and encourage a life long learning model. We are never bored and always have an interesting and challenging task to solve. We are seeking an experienced engineering manager for a mid-sized team, with multiple years of hands-on experience in systems design, security vulnerability management and machine learning.

Requirements

• 3+ years of engineering team management experience
• 3+ years of Software Engineer, Software Developer, or related occupational experience
• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
• Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and livesite operations

Nice To Haves

• Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and senior leadership to collect requirements, describe software product features, technical designs, and product strategy
• Experience in recruiting, hiring, mentoring/coaching and managing teams of Software Engineers to improve their skills, and make them more effective, product software engineers
• Experience in systems design, security vulnerability management and machine learning

• Continually learn different technologies and architectures to ensure we have the correct solutions Java, Python, Big Data, Microservices etc.
• Solving complex problems with elegant solutions by working across teams and organizations in Amazon.
• Own your solutions and the entire life-cycle, from the roadmap to the architecture to implementation and continuous iterative development.
