About The Position

The Software Development Intern (RPM) will work closely with Product Management, Quality Assurance, DevOps, and Operations teams to support the design, development, and enhancement of XiFin’s Revenue Performance Management (RPM) solutions. In this role, you’ll gain hands‑on experience contributing to real product features, fixing defects, and improving internal tooling while learning how software moves from concept to production in a healthcare technology environment.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or related field.
  • Foundational understanding of at least one programming language used in enterprise environments (e.g., C#, Java, Python, or similar).
  • Basic familiarity with version control (e.g., Git) and comfort working in an IDE.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with a curiosity to understand how systems work end‑to-end.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the implementation of new RPM features under the guidance of senior engineers (e.g., enhancements to billing, analytics, or workflow components).
  • Help investigate and fix bugs, perform code reviews with mentors, and contribute to improving application reliability.
  • Write clean, readable, and maintainable code following team standards and best practices.
  • Partner with Quality Assurance to reproduce issues, validate fixes, and refine test scenarios.
  • Collaborate with DevOps and Operations on deployment steps, environment readiness, and monitoring for the features you help build.
  • Contribute to unit and integration tests for new or updated functionality.
  • Help verify that RPM features perform as expected across different configurations and environments.
  • Support QA by documenting edge cases, test results, and known limitations.
