Summary of Position Jabil Design Services is seeking a Web Development Intern to work with the Product Validation tools team. The intern will lead the development of a web-based productivity tool through design, implementation, roll-out, documentation and training. He or she will deliver weekly status and hold periodic reviews with stakeholders to share mock-ups and progress. Upon conclusion of a successful internship, the tool will be deployed for use by the JDS team, with the intern training the global team on tool usage.

Requirements

• Major(s): Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineer, IT or similar
• Class Year(s): Rising Junior, Rising Senior, Recent Graduate
• GPA: Min 3.0
• Technical Skills: Familiarity with at least one front-end framework (e.g., React, Vue.js, or Angular). Experience in backend development, proficient in PHP, Node.js and the Laravel framework. Familiarity with MySQL database design and optimization. Proficiency in designing and developing RESTful APIs
• Effective Communication, Self-starter – Ability to drive work
• Leadership Skills: Agility, Building Trusting Relationships, Decision Making Skills, & Resilience
• Availability: Must be available to work in Austin, Texas from May 18, 2026– Aug 7, 2026.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop efficient, reliable web-based tools to meet user needs
• Collaborate with product managers and designers to understand requirements and translate them into technical specifications
• Write high-quality, maintainable code.
• Conduct unit and integration testing
• Participate in code reviews
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues and challenges during development
• Communicate status
