About The Position

Workshop Studio (WS) is an AWS platform that powers hands-on technical learning and product experiences for hundreds of thousands of current and potential AWS customers. WS is transitioning to an AI-native architecture with agentic systems that will discover content, guide participants in real time, automate workshop quality review and generate post-event intelligence.

Requirements

  • Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team
  • 6+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  • 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
  • 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience

Nice To Haves

  • 5+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
  • Knowledge of Machine Learning and LLM fundamentals, including transformer architecture, training/inference lifecycles, and optimization techniques

Responsibilities

  • Build AI-powered capabilities on Amazon Bedrock AgentCore such as content discovery, adaptive participant guidance, automated session summaries with lead scoring, agent-assisted authoring and simulated participant playthroughs for content validation.
  • Design multi-tenant workshop management with per-partner isolation, access controls, and lifecycle tooling.
  • Build integration APIs that let high traffic AWS websites provide sandbox environments on demand.
  • Evolve the authentication and authorization architecture across multiple identity providers to support partner authentication, scoped permissions for external users, and cross-tenant content sharing.
  • Lead design reviews, mentor a team of backend plus frontend engineers and produce architectural documents that shape multi-year decisions.
  • Own production health through on-call rotations, incident response, retrospective reviews and runbook maintenance.
