About The Position

We are seeking a Software Engineer 4 (P40) to join Adobe's Document Cloud organization and help build the next generation of AI-powered document experiences. This role is heavily passionate about frontend engineering, developing highly scalable, performant, and intuitive user experiences that leverage Generative AI to transform how customers interact with documents. Joining the team, you will design customer-facing experiences fueled by Large Language Models (LLMs), AI Assistants, AI Agents, conversational interfaces, intelligent document workflows, and content generation capabilities. You will be instrumental in bringing innovative AI experiences to Adobe Acrobat and Document Cloud products that impact millions of users around the world. As a P40 engineer, you will own complex frontend initiatives from start to finish. You will influence architectural decisions and drive engineering excellence. You will also use modern AI-assisted development practices to speed innovation and increase customer impact.

Requirements

Deep expertise in React, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, and modern frontend frameworks.
Strong experience building large-scale customer-facing web applications and frontend platforms.
Experience architecting reusable component libraries, building systems, and modern UI frameworks.
Strong understanding of frontend performance, rendering optimization, accessibility, and responsive build.
Experience integrating applications with REST APIs, microservices, and cloud services.
Hands-on experience building or integrating Generative AI, LLM-powered, conversational, agentic, or AI-assisted product experiences.
Familiarity with timely engineering, AI application patterns, and emerging AI technologies.
Proven ability to employ AI-powered development tools to advance software delivery and increase engineering output.
Strong debugging, testing, quality engineering, and observability practices.
Applies secure coding standards and modern software development guidelines.
Mentors engineers and improves the standard for frontend engineering excellence.
Collaborates effectively with Product, Build, AI/ML, and Platform teams to deliver impactful customer experiences.
Champions accessibility, performance, quality, and customer-centric build principles.
Participates in hiring and helps build a world-class engineering organization.
Communicates architectural decisions, technical trade-offs, and execution plans clearly to both technical and business collaborators.

Responsibilities

Compose, build, and deliver sophisticated frontend experiences using modern web technologies and frameworks.
Lead the development of Generative AI-powered features that help customers summarize, build, understand, and interact with documents more effectively.
Build intuitive user experiences for AI Assistants, conversational workflows, content generation powered by artificial intelligence, and intelligent document experiences within Adobe Document Cloud products.
