As part of the AWS Applied AI Solutions organization, the Physical AI team is developing infrastructure to enable customers to build digital twins, train autonomous systems, and deploy edge intelligence at scale. This role focuses on the experience layer, which involves how customers discover, interact with, and visualize their physical AI workloads, making the platform accessible and useful. As a Software Development Engineer on the Physical AI Experience team, you will be responsible for the entire customer interaction surface. This includes the console experience for managing spatial data and digital twins, the APIs and SDKs that facilitate programmatic workflows, and the 3D visualization layer that renders OpenUSD-based digital twins and spatial data directly in the browser. You will work across the full stack, from React-based console UIs and CloudScape components to WebGL/WebGPU rendering pipelines and RESTful/streaming API design, to create an intuitive experience for managing petabytes of spatial data and complex digital twin orchestration. The Physical AI Experience team is a new group within Applied AI Solutions, covering all customer touchpoints with the Physical AI platform. The team operates at the intersection of frontend engineering, API design, and 3D visualization, requiring both broad and deep expertise. Collaboration is key, working closely with the Physical AI Platform team (backend services, SDMA, digital twin orchestration), UX design, the partnership team, and directly with lighthouse customers to shape the product. The team emphasizes developer experience, simplifying complex spatial workflows, and believes the experience layer is crucial for product adoption. This position offers opportunities to define interaction patterns for a new AWS service category, work with 3D web rendering technologies, and contribute to autonomous systems of the future.
