About The Position
Global Tax Data (GTD) is seeking a Sr. Software Development Engineer to join our Tax AI Production Function. This team is responsible for the operational health of Tax's AI solution portfolio. The role involves taking citizen-built AI tools from development environments into production with full operational safeguards and owning them operationally. Responsibilities include reviewing architectures, addressing AI-specific security requirements, refactoring for scalability, creating technical documentation, and building a reusable pattern library. The engineer will deploy AI solutions to production infrastructure, configure monitoring and alerting, establish incident response runbooks, manage security patching, and serve as the on-call owner. Additionally, the role involves onboarding new consuming teams and providing operational health reporting. This is a foundational role to define operational standards for Tax's AI portfolio and unblock demand from teams waiting to adopt solutions lacking dedicated production ownership.
Requirements
- 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
- 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team
Nice To Haves
- 5+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
