As a Software Development Engineer on the Arena Forge team, you will help to shape the future of game development at Wizards of the Coast! You will work with a group of dedicated teammates to maintain and advance the foundational systems that make Magic: The Gathering Arena work. You will collaborate with Developers, QA, Production, and Operations to help build out future solutions that will increase efficiency while decreasing support cost. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent experience in professional software development.
  • Minimum 2 years of total relevant job experience.
  • Experience working with a team and developing positive relationships with your peers.
  • Coding, debugging, and problem-solving skills, and the ability to write readable, maintainable code.
  • Familiarity with software engineering methodologies, and the development of a live-service product.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with one or more of: Jenkins, Groovy, Docker, AWS, Python, .Net, Terraform, and/or Ansible.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to technical implementation of sophisticated projects related to the CI/CD pipelines building and deploying Magic: The Gathering Arena
  • Develop and maintain features, tools, and processes that enable the Arena team to work efficiently across many releases in development simultaneously.
  • Support and administer aspects of the development environment, including source control, automation, and automation.
  • Develop technical expertise in a domain and expand your knowledge in related fields.
  • Bring quality, efficiency, and effectiveness to a fun-loving, hardworking, and highly engaged team.
