About The Position
Design, develop and maintain software for log ingestion pipeline. Build and maintain a high-volume crowdsourcing platform to ingest 100s of thousands of requests per second and process multiple petabytes of data per day from billions of iOS devices. Enrich maps data, real-time traffic information, and personalized suggestions. Work on challenging big data problems involving real-time, high volume, and low latency processing of crowdsourced geospatial and temporal data. Designing, and implementing scalable server-side APIs.
Requirements
- Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
- 2 years of experience in the job offered or related occupation
- Using Java or C++ programming languages
- Understanding the principles and techniques behind the design of distributed systems, such as locking, concurrency, caching, prefetching, scheduling, and communication across the network.
- Utilizing public cloud infrastructures: Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- Designing, implementing, and debugging real distributed systems
- Using cloud storage concepts like data distribution, durability, consistency, and redundancy
- NoSql databases and object storage using HDFS and Cassandra
- Building RESTFul APIs to read and write data
- Testing software system via Unit tests
- Using Protocol Buffers to communicate data over the network
