About The Position

Work with machine learning (ML) systems and large language models (LLM) to help build advanced reasoning capabilities for the Siri virtual assistant. Work in a collaborative team of ML engineers, scientists, and software developers focused on LLM planner modeling to build the next generation of the Siri virtual assistant. Develop reliable, scalable tooling for training, simulation, and evaluation of LLMs and agentic systems. Hands-on role to design and run experiments in simulation and integrating client-side components with backend systems into a production-ready testable environment. Work with state-of-the-art technologies that push the boundaries of LLM agent reasoning, system architecture, and rapid iteration. Collaborate closely with ML developers, client-side engineers, and deep learning leaders to bring enhanced LLM reasoning capabilities into production.

Requirements

• Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Information Science, Computer Engineering, or related field and 6 years of experience in the job offered or related occupation.
• 6 years of experience using Python and at least one other object-oriented programming language including Java or Swift to build high performance evaluation and simulation frameworks with good fidelity with on-device systems.
• Designing and building distributed systems for cloud computing.
• Building end-to-end distributed system architecture spanning iOS client and server-side development.
• Performing system design, development, testing, debugging, release, and maintenance.
• Utilizing data engineering workflows and tools including Apache Spark, Iceberg, or Airflow, and large-scale data processing pipelines.
• Developing long-term strategic visions and execute scalable solutions in fast-paced, agile environments.
• Building simulation software with expertise in ML frameworks.
• 2 years of experience with LLM-based training data generation, model training, and evaluation workflows.
• 2 years of experience working with agent-based simulation frameworks, Agentic RAG systems, context engineering, and LLM evaluation best practices.
