The Software Development Engineer in Test will focus on designing and developing scalable end-to-end testing frameworks for data stores, data pipelines, services, and web front-ends. Responsibilities include data validation automation, API load testing, system security, and data security testing. The role requires using engineering skill sets to solve testing problems with high performance and scalability, participating in engineering architect and discussion meetings, providing testing strategies, and researching/prototyping new tools to drive architectural decisions. The engineer will assess and understand code flow and its interaction with various processes, test automation builds, execution, and script troubleshooting, and architect, design, and lead the automating testing infrastructure and testing strategy to support cloud continuous integration and continuous delivery. Evaluating existing automation frameworks and defining clear steps and processes to improve testing procedures are also key aspects of this role.

Requirements

BS in software engineering, computer science, or related field
2+ years’ experience in software development
Deep understanding of programming languages such as Python, Java, Java Script, SQL
Current understanding of best practices regarding system security measures
Familiarity in CI/CD pipeline development
Experience with GIT and source control
Passion for solving complex problems and can-do attitude
Strong communications skills
Burning desire to learn and continually improve

Nice To Haves

Familiarity in data pipeline testing such as ETL tests, data warehouse tests, etc.
Familiarity in BDD, Playwright, Locust and other testing platforms
Familiarity with AI Tools & Technologies

Responsibilities

Designing and developing scalable end-to-end testing frameworks for data stores, data pipelines, services, and web front-end
Doing data validation automation
Perform API load testing
