About The Position

The Delivery Experience Speed Tech (DEX Speed Tech) team is redefining fast delivery for millions of Amazon customers worldwide—enabling “need-it-now” convenience through innovative programs and technology. We build and launch customer-facing innovations across sub-same day (SSD) and ultra-fast delivery services, working at the intersection of software, fulfillment, and retail operations. As an SDE 2 on the DEX Speed Tech team, you'll develop customer-facing features for sub-same day (SSD) and ultra-fast delivery services. You'll work in a dynamic environment where your code directly impacts customer experience and delivery operations.

Requirements

• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
• 1+ years of designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded or distributed software applications, tools, systems, and services using: C#, C++, Java, or Perl experience
• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable software solutions for Speed delivery tracking and notifications
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to build customer-facing features
• Write clean, maintainable code with appropriate test coverage
• Participate in code reviews and technical design discussions
• Debug production issues and implement improvements
• Contribute to team's technical documentation
• Mentor junior engineers on the team
