About The Position

This role is within the Device Content & Advertiser team, which includes Amazon Fire TV, Alexa ads, and Amazon Fire Tablet. The mission is to make watching content effortless and fun for customers, integrating entertainment into their daily habits. The position involves building scalable full-stack technology and services, inventing customer experiences using Android, cloud services, frontend, and backend technologies, defining product direction through collaboration, and delivering high-quality software in an Agile/Scrum environment. The Software Development Engineer II will define and build innovative consumer product experiences with a direct impact on flagship products, working with talented engineers on full-stack technology and services that scale to millions of users.

Requirements

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language

Nice To Haves

• 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
