About The Position

Fiserv is a global leader in financial services technology, and our EBRS Products organization is at the forefront of digital payment innovation. As a Software Development Engineer for Implementations, you will play a critical role in building AI-driven automation and software applications for our SnapPay and BillMatrix products. You will work with cross-functional teams to design and deploy high-quality solutions that streamline the implementation function and directly benefit our global clients.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience in software development, with hands-on experience in Fintech, payments software, or B2B/e-commerce environments.
  • 4+ years of professional experience with Python and Java (primary skills).
  • 3+ years of experience developing automation tools and software, with a demonstrated ability to design and scale technology solutions.
  • 3+ years of experience working with SQL databases.
  • 3+ years of experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP services, alongside proficiency in CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
  • 3+ years of experience working within Agile frameworks.

Nice To Haves

  • 2+ years of experience implementing AI/ML solutions or 1+ years of experience implementing Generative AI services.
  • Knowledge of card payment flows, including tokenization, authorization, capture, settlement, and refunds.
  • Proven experience supporting and integrating large-scale enterprise ERP systems such as Oracle JD Edwards, Oracle EBS, and SAP ECC.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, development, and building of AI and automation capabilities specifically for the implementation function to enhance product delivery and efficiency.
  • Identify and contribute to enhancements for SnapPay and BillMatrix, partnering with Engineering teams to design, develop, test, and deploy technical solutions.
  • Lead the design and implementation of software applications, performing coding, testing, and debugging to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
  • Partner with internal and external stakeholders—including client IT teams, ERP, infrastructure, and payment gateway teams—to support successful, automated implementations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather complex requirements and translate them into actionable technical specifications.
  • Maintain and improve existing codebases while leading peer review processes to ensure high engineering standards.
  • Analyze, document, and communicate system incidents with the technical detail necessary to enable efficient troubleshooting of complex problems.
  • Manage technical dependencies and support escalation resolution by contributing to mitigation planning and lifecycle documentation.
