About The Position

This role is for a Software Development Engineer II on the DCA (Device Content & Advertiser) team, which includes Amazon Fire TV and Amazon Fire Tablet. The mission is to make watching content effortless and fun for customers. The engineer will build full-stack technology and services that scale to millions of users, invent delightful customer experiences using Android, cloud services, and frontend/backend technologies, define and implement product direction through collaboration, and deliver high-quality software in an Agile/Scrum environment. The position offers an opportunity to have a significant impact on flagship products, working with talented engineers to build user experiences and scalable services.

Requirements

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
• Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C# including object-oriented design

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
• 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
