About The Position

The Conversational Ad Experiences team works on complex engineering, optimization, econometric, and user-experience problems to deliver relevant product ads on Amazon pages worldwide. Our mission is to make Amazon the best-in-class destination for shoppers to discover, engage and build affinity with brands and products, making shopping beautiful and personal. We help advertisers, big or small, engage potential customers during their shopping research and consideration stages with visually appealing, inspiring, and relevant sponsored shopping content. In doing so, we deliver billions of ad impressions and millions of clicks daily but are only getting started. Our team's scope is broad and impactful. We work on distributed Ad serving services with low-latency, high scalability, and availability. These services serve both billions of Amazon shoppers and millions of advertisers worldwide. Requirements

  • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  • 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
  • 1+ years of designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded or distributed software applications, tools, systems, and services using: C#, C++, Java, or Perl experience
  • 1+ years of Object Oriented Design experience
  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language

Nice To Haves

  • 4+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
  • Knowledge of Machine Learning and LLM fundamentals, including transformer architecture, training/inference lifecycles, and optimization techniques

  • Creating robust, large-scale services capable of processing millions of requests daily.
  • Resolving complex software issues with technologies like LLMs.
  • Partnering with various engineering, science, and business teams to design, implement and launch personalized ad experiences.
