Software Development Engineer, AWS Glue

AmazonBellevue, WA
$143,700 - $194,400Onsite

About The Position

AWS Glue is a critical data integration service used by numerous organizations, from startups to Fortune 500 companies. As a Software Development Engineer on the AWS Glue team, you will contribute to shaping how data-driven organizations manage, transform, and analyze data at a massive scale. This role involves working on a fully managed, serverless data integration service that processes petabytes of data daily. You will tackle complex challenges in distributed systems, large-scale data pipelines, and infrastructure development. Your code will be part of pipelines that support crucial business decisions for thousands of customers, addressing problems in distributed query execution, fault-tolerant pipeline orchestration, and low-latency data processing. The connectivity services team within Glue enables other AWS service teams (like Athena, QuickSight, SageMaker Unified Studio) and external customers (like Adobe, SAP, Workday) to build customer-facing products that interact with third-party data sources. This is achieved by providing access to a wide array of data source options without requiring new integrations. The team offers a platform for discovering and utilizing existing connectors, providing a consistent method for rendering data source options, managing connections (including OAuth), configuring connectors (with VPC setup), and interacting with underlying data sources.
