Software Development Engineer, Aurora DSQL
About The Position
Amazon Aurora DSQL is a serverless, distributed SQL database with virtually unlimited scale, highest availability, and zero infrastructure management. Aurora DSQL provides active-active high availability, providing strong data consistency designed for 99.99% single-Region and 99.999% multi-Region availability. Aurora DSQL automatically manages and scales system resources, so you don't have to worry about maintenance downtime and provisioning, patching, or upgrading infrastructure. As a software development engineer on the Aurora DSQL commit team, you will be working on systems and services that are responsible for DSQL's write path. You will be responsible for building software that is responsible for providing the ACID properties of DSQL at massive scale. You will be responsible for building high performance and reliable systems that operate at massive scale.
Requirements
- 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
- 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team
Nice To Haves
- 5+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
